Dow Building Solutions
Dow Building Solutions supplies innovative, effective solutions to help improve the thermal efficiency of buildings. At the heart of the range is STYROFOAM-A extruded foamed polystyrene insulation. The insulation comes in a range of thicknesses and is lightweight yet robust with high strength and excellent moisture resistance. It can be used for roofs (ROOFMATE SL-A), basements (PERIMATE DI-A) and below concrete floor slabs to help prevent thermal bridging (FLOORMATE-A). In Spring 2012 the business launched its latest generation insulation for inverted roofing, XENERGY SL. XENERGY offers the established properties of STYROFOAM including durability and moisture resistance - alongside significantly improved lambda values thanks to the addition of infrared technology. Dow Building Solutions' product range also includes GREAT-STUFF polyurethane foam sealant, FROTH-PAK polyurethane foam spray systems, INSTA-STIK polyurethane adhesives and a range of accessories.

Dow Building Solutions: Thermal insulation provider
What we offer:
Dow Building Solutions offers insulation that enables construction of energy efficient, high performance buildings and supports Code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM and Passivhaus design criteria. STYROFOAM-A extruded polystyrene and new XENERGY foams have uniform closed cell structures and smooth surface ‘skins’, resulting in excellent insulation performance, high compressive strength and water resistance for long term durability. XENERGY SL is a new generation extruded polystyrene for insulation of inverted flat roofs. The material is blown with CO2, giving it a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than five. STYROFOAM-A products are also CO2-blown and offer durability, lightweight yet robust performance, high strength and excellent moisture resistance, making them ideal for below-ground and inverted roof insulation demands, or for areas where structural support is required.
What we are looking for:
Architects, contractors, land/building owners and other construction professionals interested in Passivhaus development or related building methods. Those with projects involving large scale inverted roof construction. Anyone interested in investigating new ways of using thermal insulation to improve the energy performance of buildings.
